Ne-Yo Defends Polyamorous Lifestyle Amid Backlash: “I Do Partnership, Not Ownership”

Ne-Yo is making headlines—not for his music, but for his polyamorous relationship with four women. The R&B star recently opened up about his unconventional love life during an interview with Real 92.3, addressing both curiosity and criticism.

“I do partnership, not ownership,” Ne-Yo explained, emphasizing that he doesn’t believe in controlling his partners. He clarified that he doesn’t demand exclusivity, but if a partner offers it, there are agreed-upon rules.

“If you offer exclusivity to me, it doesn’t mean my exclusivity to you,” he stated. “If you’re cool with that, we rock. If not, no love lost.”

Despite backlash from some fans, Ne-Yo revealed that many men secretly support his lifestyle but fear public judgment. He insists he’s not trying to convince anyone—he’s just living his truth.

“You wouldn’t even have known had The Shade Room not picked up a post from one of the girls,” he said. “But I have nothing to hide because I don’t feel like I’m doing anything wrong.”

With his unapologetic stance, Ne-Yo is challenging traditional relationship norms—whether people like it or not.
