Noelia Voigt Returns to Miss USA as Co-Host After Historic Resignation

In a surprising move that signals a potential reconciliation with the organization, former Miss USA Noelia Voigt returns to Miss USA pageant stage over a year after her shocking resignation. Voigt, who was crowned Miss USA 2023, co-hosted the preliminary round of the current pageant on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. This appearance marks a notable moment for the pageant world, which was shaken by her departure in May 2024.

Voigt’s original decision was unprecedented, as she became the first Miss USA titleholder in the pageant’s 72-year history to relinquish her crown. She cited the critical need to prioritize her physical and mental well-being in her resignation announcement. Her departure was followed just days later by that of Miss Teen USA, UmaSofia Srivastava, prompting widespread scrutiny of the organization’s environment and contracts.

The backdrop for Voigt’s return is a significant restructuring within the organization, which has since been acquired by new CEO Thom Brodeur. Her presence on the stage—a year and a half after stepping down—is seen by many as a symbolic step toward dialogue and healing between the former titleholder and the Miss USA system under its new leadership.

During her original, shortened reign, Voigt used her platform to advocate for immigration rights and mental health awareness. Her return as a co-host demonstrates the evolving relationship between the pageant and its former queen, whose unprecedented resignation drew national attention to the pressures faced by titleholders.
