“The South Got Something to Say!” Hip-Hop legends OutKast will have their seminal 1996 album, ATLiens, honored by Nike with a commemorative Air Force 1 Low. The sneaker is scheduled to drop in Fall 2026 to mark the album’s 30th anniversary. While not an official brand collaboration with André 3000 and Big Boi, the shoe is a highly detailed tribute to the iconic artwork that helped define Southern Hip-Hop.
The OutKast ATLiens AF1 design takes direct inspiration from the album’s interstellar, graphic cover. The sneaker features a predominantly black base, accented by a distinctive purple-to-blue gradient Swoosh and a fade from white to black on the heel. A subtle but powerful nod is the barely volt outsole, which directly mimics the fluorescent text color used on the album’s original packaging, making it an instant collectible for fans.
ATLiens a portmanteau of “ATL” (Atlanta) and “aliens” is considered one of the most innovative Hip-Hop albums ever, praised for its incorporation of dub, gospel, and psychedelic rock. The commemorative shoe is part of Nike’s ongoing practice of celebrating musical icons through its classic silhouettes. The Air Force 1 Low “ATLiens” is expected to be released through Nike and select retailers, though the retail price has not yet been announced.
The impending release of the OutKast ATLiens AF1 is set to be one of the biggest sneaker drops of 2026. By paying homage to the album that cemented OutKast as societal outcasts and cultural giants, Nike is ensuring that the spirit of the Dungeon Family and Atlanta Hip-Hop culture will be felt globally next year.
