Patrick Beverley Felony Arrest: Charged with Assault in Texas

Former NBA player Patrick Beverley was arrested in Fort Bend County, Texas, on Friday, November 14, on a third-degree felony charge. The charge is Assault on a Family Member/Household Member Impeding Breath or Circulation.

The arrest followed a domestic incident at a home in Rosharon. Beverley’s attorney, Letitia Quinones-Hollins, released a statement clarifying the context. The attorney stated Beverley found his minor younger sister alone with an 18-year-old man in the middle of the night, becoming “understandably concerned.”

The attorney disputed the alleged severity of the charges, stating, “We don’t believe what followed happened the way it’s been described.” Beverley posted a $40,000 bond and was expected to be released later that day.

The Patrick Beverley Felony Arrest charge is punishable by up to ten years in prison in Texas. The former guard, who played for seven NBA teams, has no prior felony record and is looking forward to addressing the accusations in court.
