Controversial Nigerian singer Portable and his associates have been arraigned in court for allegedly attacking officials from the Ogun State Planning and Development Permit Authority (OGPDPA). The incident reportedly occurred at Portable’s Odogwu bar in Iyana Ilogbo, Ogun State, according to GistReel.
Charges Against Portable’s Crew
The defendants—Nurudeen Warris (21), Adetola Alashe (25), Samuel Adeleke (28), Oluwaseun Ayenuwa (19), Oluwapelumi Adeosun (20), Gospel Kanu (20), Precious Ohiegebo (19), Ifeoluwa Babatunde (27), and Fatimo Muhammed (26)—are facing five charges, including:
• Assault
• Obstruction of duty
• Possession of dangerous weapons
• Conduct likely to cause a breach of peace
Court reports state that Portable and his associates allegedly attacked planning officers Abidemi Onabanjo, Ramon Lateef, and Akinpelumi Oyero, who were on duty. The officials claim that the assailants were armed with guns and cutlasses during the altercation.
Bail Conditions and Case Adjournment
