Premier League: Saturday’s Results and League Table Review

Saturday’s Premier League action provided plenty of drama, but key teams missed opportunities to capitalize in the title race. Arsenal were left frustrated in a goalless draw against Everton, while Liverpool salvaged a 2-2 draw with Fulham in a chaotic encounter. Here’s how it unfolded:

Arsenal 0-0 Everton: Gunners Stumble at the Emirates

Arsenal dominated possession but failed to break down a resolute Everton defense at the Emirates. Despite Liverpool’s earlier slip, Mikel Arteta’s side couldn’t narrow the gap at the top of the table, leaving them six points adrift of the leaders.

Martin Ødegaard, returning from injury, created Arsenal’s best chances, but Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford delivered a stellar performance to deny the hosts. Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka also tested Pickford, but Arsenal’s attacks lacked the cutting edge to breach Everton’s solid backline.

The Toffees, meanwhile, relied on counter-attacks, with Abdoulaye Doucouré coming closest to threatening Arsenal’s goal in the first half. Everton’s disciplined performance extended their unbeaten run to five matches, lifting them three points clear of relegation danger.

Liverpool 2-2 Fulham: Reds Rescue a Point at Anfield

Liverpool’s clash with Fulham was anything but straightforward. Reduced to 10 men after Andrew Robertson’s red card in the 22nd minute, the Reds showed resilience to earn a 2-2 draw at Anfield.

Fulham opened the scoring early as Andreas Pereira’s acrobatic shot deflected off Robertson into the net. Liverpool equalized through Cody Gakpo’s header shortly after halftime, only for Fulham to regain the lead in the 65th minute via Rodrigo Muniz. However, Diogo Jota’s sharp turn and finish secured a point for Liverpool.

The draw preserved Liverpool’s unbeaten record against Fulham but left them vulnerable at the top of the table, with title rivals closing in.
