Rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Placed on Suicide Watch at New York Detention Centre

Embattled American rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has reportedly been placed on suicide watch at the Metropolitan Detention Centre in New York following his recent arrest. The 54-year-old music mogul was detained earlier this week and faces serious federal charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering.

Diddy was placed on suicide watch as a precautionary measure. Robyn Tarnofsky, the U.S. magistrate judge overseeing the case, ordered that Diddy be jailed while awaiting trial. However, Diddy’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, emphasized that the suicide watch is standard procedure for high-profile inmates and not an indication of his client’s mental state.

Agnifilo reassured TMZ that Diddy is “not at all suicidal,” adding that the rapper appeared “healthy, strong, confident, and focused on his defense” during a six-hour visit at the federal facility on Thursday.

The length of time Diddy will remain under suicide watch has not been disclosed.
