Reneé Rapp Postpones Final North American Tour Dates Due to Illness: ‘My Body Has Finally Given Out’

Pop sensation and Mean Girls star Reneé Rapp has announced the unexpected postponement of the final two dates on the North American leg of her highly anticipated “Bite Me Tour.” The singer took to social media to deliver a candid apology to fans, revealing that she has been forced to cancel the performances in Atlanta and Tampa on doctor’s orders due to illness. Rapp expressed deep regret, writing that she has been “pushing through an illness but my body has finally given out.”

The affected concerts were scheduled for Sunday, October 26, in Atlanta and Monday, October 27, in Tampa. In her statement, the “Snow Angel” singer clarified that the decision was made for her long-term health and safety. Rapp stated her medical team “told me that it isn’t safe to perform due to the need for vocal rest and physical recovery,” a necessary precaution for any vocal artist facing a prolonged illness on the road.

Rapp’s team has quickly rescheduled the postponed shows. The Atlanta concert will now take place on Wednesday, November 5, while the Tampa show is set for Tuesday, November 4. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new dates. Rapp’s remaining scheduled performance in Charlotte, North Carolina, is currently still set to proceed as planned on Wednesday, October 29.

Acknowledging the frustration and inconvenience for her devoted fanbase, Rapp concluded her message by writing, “I truly appreciate how much time, planning and preparation goes into coming to a show. I can’t describe to you how sorry I am to have to move things around.” The decision highlights the increasing trend of performers prioritizing health and longevity over the pressures of the non-stop touring schedule.
