In a candid interview on Wazobia FM with Cheche Smith, Paul Okoye, famously known as Rudeboy, dropped a bombshell about his twin brother, Peter Okoye. In a moment that has fans buzzing, Paul referred to Peter as “somebody else” and boldly declared that PSquare is officially no more!
Paul shared,
This is the same voice, same me. I no dey hide am anymore. Na before I dey hide am, but the more I dey hide am, the more small problem don come.” He went on to say, “It’s music that brought us together, but my vision is quite different from SOMEBODY ELSE.
Ouch!
When pressed about the future of PSquare, Paul firmly stated, “If you bring PSquare, I will tell you there is nothing like that; for now, no PSquare. I am focusing on Rudeboy as an artist and brand.” This means it’s all about Rudeboy from here on out!
When asked what he would tell his fans, Paul didn’t hold back.
Get ready! I know from last year, I no give una music; make una forgive me. I wasted your time, but you guys know why…
The radio host cheekily suggested it was because he was busy in love, to which Paul quickly clarified,
NO, that’s when we came back as PSquare, and I had to just attend to that one. But now I am back with Rudeboy!
In a previous Instagram Live session, Paul hinted at his frustrations with the duo’s dynamic, stating, “The days of ‘Monkey dey work, baboon dey chop’ are over!” implying he felt like he was the one putting in all the work while Peter was enjoying the benefits.
With Paul ready to step into the limelight as Rudeboy, fans are left wondering what this means for the future of PSquare and if we’ll ever hear that iconic duo again. One thing’s for sure: it’s time to keep an eye on Rudeboy as he carves out his solo path!
Stay tuned, because the best of Paul Okoye is yet to come!
