Director Ryan Coogler has officially ended months of speculation by confirming that Black Panther 3 is his next professional project. Speaking at Deadline’s Contenders Film: Los Angeles event, the director of the entire Black Panther trilogy stated plainly, “We’re working on it hard. It’s my next movie.”
The highly anticipated sequel is expected to continue the story of Wakanda, now led by Shuri (Letitia Wright), following the events of Wakanda Forever. Coogler also confirmed his intention to cast Academy Award winner Denzel Washington in a new role written specifically for him.
