New Spotify Feature: Follow Favorite Music Venues

Spotify has rolled out a major new feature for live music fans, allowing users to now follow favorite music venues directly within the app. Available to both Free and Premium subscribers, this update is designed to seamlessly connect music discovery with the live concert experience. The followed venues are saved to a user’s Library, making it easier than ever to keep track of local and iconic stages worldwide.

This new tool is integrated into an upgraded Live Events feed, which now refreshes daily instead of weekly. By giving users the option to follow favorite music venues, Spotify is expanding beyond just artist-based concert recommendations. Listeners can view a venue’s full event calendar, see lineups, and even filter the upcoming shows by genre for highly personalized planning.

The platform’s concert library is robust, currently including over 20,000 venues across the globe, from small independent clubs to massive arenas. Once a user finds a show they like, the feature provides a direct link to the event’s official ticketing partner to complete the purchase. This is a crucial step in making the path from streaming a song to buying a ticket as efficient as possible.

Ultimately, this move serves as a significant boost to local music scenes, ensuring that fans don’t just see global headliners but also discover shows at smaller spots that host emerging artists. The ability to follow favorite music venues is Spotify’s latest strategy to solidify its role as the central hub for all things music.
