Spotify is making it easier than ever for users to switch from rival platforms by introducing a new, simplified Spotify Playlist Import Tool directly within its mobile app.
The feature, which is rolling out globally now, is powered by an integration with the third-party service TuneMyMusic. Users no longer need to use external websites or apps to transfer their curated playlists.
• How to Access: Users can find the new “Import your music” option by scrolling to the bottom of the “Your Library” section in the mobile app (iOS and Android).
• Supported Platforms: The tool supports transfers from major services, including Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, Tidal, Deezer, and SoundCloud.
• The Benefit: By integrating this feature, Spotify removes the friction and cost, as using the tool through Spotify removes the 500-track limit typically imposed by TuneMyMusic’s free version.
This move is seen as Spotify’s strongest effort yet to attract new subscribers by ensuring they don’t lose years of work building their favorite playlists.
