Super Eagles Star Ola Aina Shines as Nottingham Forest Ends Brentford’s Home Streak

Nigerian international Ola Aina delivered a match-winning performance as Nottingham Forest stunned Brentford with a 2-0 victory at the Gtech Community Stadium, ending the hosts’ unbeaten home run this Premier League season.

Forest, showcasing remarkable composure and tactical discipline, clinched their fifth away league win of the campaign with goals from Aina and Anthony Elanga. The win temporarily propels Forest into third place in the league standings.

The breakthrough came just seven minutes before halftime when Aina capitalized on sustained pressure to put Forest ahead with a superb strike. Brentford’s defense faltered again in the second half when a costly error by Keane Lewis-Potter gifted Elanga the opportunity to double Forest’s lead. The former Manchester United forward made no mistake, punishing the home side and leaving Brentford with no way back.

Brentford, who had previously secured 22 of their 23 points at home, struggled to regain momentum and posed little threat to Forest’s resilient defense.

Ola Aina’s outstanding performance earned him the Premier League’s Player of the Match award. The Super Eagles star featured for the full 90 minutes, completing 21 of 29 passes, registering two attempts on goal, making six crucial clearances, and scoring the opener that set the tone for Forest’s victory.

With this triumph, Nottingham Forest continues to establish itself as a formidable force this season, while Brentford remains in 12th place following the defeat.
