Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez, born Emeka Akumefule, has stirred concern online after revealing he’s received death threats from unnamed figures in the music industry.
The rapper made the startling claim via a post on X (formerly Twitter), while reacting to Olamide’s longevity in the game.

In a tweet praising Olamide’s career and latest album, Blaqbonez hinted that the idea of spending 15 years in the music industry feels far-fetched for him — not just because of the grind, but because of real threats to his life.
“Respect to @Olamide for this album, to be able to do this like 15 years in is crazy, it’s the type of longevity everyone prays for. Real Everlasting Taker,” he wrote.
