Internet users have raised skepticism after American singer Usher’s X (formerly Twitter) account was temporarily deleted following the recent arrest of his mentor, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. Diddy faces federal sex trafficking and racketeering charges, and the timing of Usher’s account deletion has fueled speculation.
Upon the return of his account, Usher, 45, addressed the situation with a post on Sunday, September 22, writing, “Account got hacked and damn y’all ran with it! See you tonight at Intuit Dome.” However, many X users were not convinced, with some claiming that the deletion was too coincidental given Diddy’s arrest.
Comments poured in, with one user saying, “You must really think we are stupid,” while another added, “Timing is JUST a coincidence huh?” Others questioned if Usher was hiding something, with one user writing, “Did your account really get hacked, or you’re not telling us something?”
Speculation intensified when another user suggested that the account’s deletion could signal trouble for Usher in light of his long association with Diddy. Some hinted that the deletion was a “cover,” implying that more revelations may follow.

Usher’s connection to Diddy goes back decades, with Diddy serving as an executive producer on Usher’s debut album in 1994. Usher has also recounted his experiences living with Diddy as a teenager, where he witnessed a wild lifestyle in the music business.
