Social media activist Vincent Otse Martins, better known as Very Dark Man (VDM), has taken a bold step in calling out Ubi Franklin over an alleged N10 million debt. VDM released a video where he shared voice notes and chats from the creditor, accusing Ubi of dodging payment despite repeated pleas and attempts to resolve the matter.
According to VDM, the creditor trusted Ubi due to his connection with Davido and his role as Chioma’s manager but was left disappointed. In the video, Ubi was heard asking for more time, but VDM claims he failed to honor his promise. Frustrated by the delays, VDM threatened to report Ubi to the authorities if he doesn’t repay the debt.
The drama escalated when VDM took a swipe at Ubi, questioning if he was “cursed” and mocking his career shift from a record label boss to being referred to as Chioma’s “nanny.” Fans quickly joined the conversation, dragging Davido’s 30BG crew into the controversy. While some criticized VDM for involving Davido, others used the opportunity to slam the entire 30BG camp.
This isn’t the first time Ubi has faced public backlash. In a past accusation, VDM alleged that Ubi used Davido’s name to exploit up-and-coming artists. As the video continues to trend, fans await Ubi’s response while the 30BG crew faces yet another round of online scrutiny.
Stay tuned for updates on this unfolding saga.
