Verydarkman Tearfully Apologizes to Mercy Chinwo Over N1.1 Billion Lawsuit, Begs for Reduction

Controversial social critic Verydarkman (VDM) has dramatically apologized to gospel singer Mercy Chinwo after she slammed him with a N1.1 billion lawsuit over defamation.

The lawsuit, dated March 3, 2025, was filed in response to VDM’s recent claims on social media, accusing Mercy Chinwo of withholding money from her performances instead of remitting it to her former record label, EeZee Concepts, owned by Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu (EeZee Tee).

Following the legal action, VDM took to Instagram in a viral video, shedding tears and sarcastically pleading with the gospel singer to reduce the lawsuit to N5 million, which he claims is all he can afford.

In a dramatic twist, the outspoken critic sang some of Mercy Chinwo’s gospel songs while begging her not to allow the “devil to use her” against him.

He said:

“Una wan kee me o! The money wey dey inside the NGO sef no reach that amount. Mercy, please, reduce the money. I no fit pay N1 billion… maybe N5 million I fit gather.”

The video has sparked mixed reactions online, with some fans laughing at VDM’s sarcastic apology while others criticized him for making unfounded allegations against the gospel singer.
