Don Paul Umana and Ola Cardoso Collaborate on New Feature “My Pikin Dey Lagos”

Nigerian producer Don Paul Umana, also known as Don Possibility, has teamed up with acclaimed filmmaker Ola Cardoso for a new feature film, My Pikin Dey Lagos, which is currently in principal photography on location in Lagos, Nigeria.

The film is a coming-of-age story about Matthew, a young man who leaves his ailing mother behind in search of a better life in Lagos. The plot follows his journey as he encounters misfortune and betrayal but eventually finds redemption, love, and a new beginning.

Levi Chikere leads the cast as Matthew, supported by a stellar ensemble including Gideon Okeke, Tina Mba, Chidi Mokeme, Teniola Aladese, and Gbubemi Ejeye. The script is written by Sonia Nwosu and is produced under Nnemeh Studios.

Behind The Scenes
Don Paul Umana, known for his creative filmmaking and eye for detail, brings his experience to the project. He has previously worked on renowned films like Hello, Rain and Juju Stories and was involved in major productions like Gangs of Lagos, Shanty Town, Coming from Insanity, Sugar Rush, and Brotherhood. Umana’s recent works include co-producing Netflix’s Naija Big Fairytale Wedding and serving as an Associate Producer on Showmax’s Slumking and Netflix’s Tokunbo.

Ola Cardoso, the film’s director, is an award-winning filmmaker with experience in shooting music videos, TV commercials, films, and documentaries. His technical proficiency and creative vision make him a vital part of the project.

My Pikin Dey Lagos is expected to enter post-production soon, with a theatrical release timeline to be announced. This exciting collaboration is set to bring a compelling story to life, highlighting the emotional and unpredictable journey of life in Lagos.
